Sexton Elementary music teacher Caroline Sine died from her injuries yesterday and her boyfriend Sean Hankins remains in critical condition with a broken back after they were hit by an allegedly drunk driver Sunday in Pinellas Park. A GoFundMe account has been set up to help with medical expenses.
Parents whose kids play in the Pop Warner Little League are being banned from bringing water bottles to the games. An email sent to parents said the only drink allowed into the games is coffee, and that the league loses concession sales money if people bring their own water. One sippy cup per child for infants and children will be allowed.
The city of Largo heard from residents who live around the Highland Lakes Recreation complex regarding a proposed zipline course yesterday. City Commissioners will take a vote on Sept. 6th for the project that they estimate could being in 45,000 visitors annually, and neighbors worry about increased the traffic and trash.
