gofundSexton Elementary music teacher Caroline Sine died from her injuries yesterday and her boyfriend Sean Hankins remains in critical condition with a broken back after they were hit by an allegedly drunk driver Sunday in Pinellas Park. A GoFundMe account has been set up to help with medical expenses.

 

The Intercontinental Hotel on Kennedy Blvd in Tampa is one 20 in the HEI Hotels and Resorts chains hit by a data breach. Parents whose kids play in the Pop Warner Little League are being banned from bringing water bottles to the games. An email sent to parents said the only drink allowed into the games is coffee, and that the league loses concession sales money if people bring their own water. One sippy cup per child for infants and children will be allowed.

City Commissioners will take a vote on Sept. 6th for the project that they estimate could being in 45,000 visitors annually, and neighbors worry about increased the traffic and trash.

 

The three year old boy who almost drowned at the Splash Harbor Water Park over the weekend got to thank the off-duty Hillsborough County Sheriff’s deputy who rescued him. Michael Junior had a hug for Deputy Habib Hanze. Michael’s mom said she signing all her kids up for swimming lessons.

The Rays sat down with Hillsborough and Tampa city officials yesterday and came away with one less site to consider. The Florida State Fairgrounds are apparently out of the picture. The Tampa Bay Times said in their story this morning but the list of potential sites is still substantial
