The three men police suspect are the ones that have robbed 25 homes in South Tampa are under arrest. One of them used a stolen credit card in South Florida and that’s what led to their eventual capture. Alejandro Blanco-Poza, Diego Perera, and Leyanet Morales-Torres will face charges in South Florida and Tampa, but there may be a fourth suspect still on the loose. Volunteers from ‘Taking it to the Streets Ministry’ left Pinellas Park yesterday to help flood victims in Louisiana. They said they have enough food and supplies to feed up to 10,000 people a day for a few days, and that adds up to 6 tons of water, and more than 5 tons of food. Clearwater has its first medical marijuana dispensary. Trulieve opened on US 19 Thursday. There is a little bit of work you’ll have to go through to qualify. You have to be registered on the state’s Compassionate Use register and suffer from a specific illness. Doctors have to complete an eight hour training course to write orders. The Humane Society of Tampa Bay has also helped some flood victims – pets that were left behind in shelters in Louisiana. There are 18 at the Humane Society shelter now, and more are headed for shelters in Pinellas and Sarasota. Shelters can always use your donations.
