Police Continue Search For Missing Lakeland Girl

The parents of four year old Rebecca Lewis of Lakeland went on camera yesterday pleading for the return of their daughter who disappeared Saturday morning. Police believe she’s with a family friend named West Hogs. They were seen on video Saturday night in Forsyth. If you can help, there is a $3,000 reward being offered by Heartland Crimestoppers. President Obama declared a major disaster in Florida at Hurricane Matthew passed through causing extensive damage along the east coast. The state is now eligible for federal aid, but Governor Rick Scott said Sunday that those funds are only for debris removal and emergency protective measures. He said that means the state will have to look for money to do things like repair roads and for individual assistance.


The governor is also being sued by the state’s Democratic Party who wants the deadline to register to vote extended. The deadline is tomorrow, but they want it extended a week due to Hurricane Matthew. The governor said people have already had enough time to register.

Many voters in Pinellas and Hillsborough counties have received their mail in ballots for the November election. If you’d still like to mail in your vote and aren’t on the list, just click here. You have until Nov 2nd to do that. Early voting sites will be opening later this month on the 24th.


The Bucs play tonight in Charlotte against the Carolina Panthers, but the Panthers will be without quarterback Cam Newton. Newton is on concussion protocol since taking a hit during last Sunday’s loss to the Atlanta Falcons. Derek Anderson will start for Carolina in Newton’s place.

The Lighting will retire the first jersey in the team’s history. Former Lightning Captain Marty St Louis’s #26 will be retired January 13 when the Lightning host John Tortorella and Columbus.
