bucs3_12603435_8colThe Bucs won on Sunday over the Seattle Seahawks 14-5. That’s three wins in a row and they’re now one game behind first place Atlanta in the NFC South. The Bucs now head to San Diego.

For the third time this year in Hillsborough County a tow truck operator trying to help a stranded motorist has died on the job. Danny Hand was working for Crockett’s Towing and Recovery Service and died early Sunday morning when he was struck on 275 near Fowler by Leandro Perez. Perez is charged with DUI manslaughter.

powerballThe Powerball jackpot made it up to $421 million dollars for Saturday night’s drawing, and just one winning ticket was sold in Tennessee. That makes six winners in the state. The winning ticket was sold in Lafayette and we’re still waiting to see who the winner is.

Two public workshops are coming up this week to present the master plan from a consulting firm hired by the city of Clearwater for revitalization of the downtown’s waterfront. The feedback from these meetings will be taken into consideration and then presented at a City Council meeting later this month. Tuesday’s meeting is at 6:30 p.m. at the Countryside Library, Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Clearwater Main Library.
