An American Bald Eagle that was hit on Countryside Blvd back in October will be released back into the wild today. It was a real team effort to rehab the eagle with Owl’s Nest Sanctuary for Wildlife, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay and Nature World Wildlife helping out.
Two public workshops are coming up this week to present the master plan from a consulting firm hired by the city of Clearwater for revitalization of the downtown’s waterfront. The feedback from these meetings will be taken into consideration and then presented at a City Council meeting later this month. Today’s meeting is at 6:30 p.m. at the Countryside Library, Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Clearwater Main Library.
The Powerball jackpot made it up to $421 million dollars for Saturday night’s drawing, and just one winning ticket was sold in Tennessee. Lottery officials there have a press conference later this morning to reveal the winner. That makes six winners in the state. The winning ticket was sold in Lafayette and cost $2.
The Bucs won on Sunday over the Seattle Seahawks 14-5. That’s three wins in a row and they’re now one game behind first place Atlanta in the NFC South. The Bucs now head to San Diego
