Kids Robbed At Lemonade Stand: Bald Eagle Watch Is On!

Some Hillsborough County kids who were only trying to make a few bucks selling lemonade were robbed by a 19 and 16 year old who wanted more than they were served.  When one of the kids threw a cup at 19-year-old Deante Small he stole some $13 and the kids’ iPod. Now Small could face a felony charged and the 16 year old with battery and petty theft.

Bucs RB Martin Under Drug Use Suspension

Bucs running back Doug Martin will not play in this weekend’s final regular season game against the Carolina Panthers at Raymond James Stadium. Martin was suspended for violating the league’s drug policy and is under a four game suspension. Martin said he’s going into rehab immediately rather than appeal the suspension.

Outback Bowl Week Underway

Outback Bowl festivities are underway in the Bay area with the Florida Gator and Iowa Hawkeyes in town for the game scheduled for this Monday, January 2nd at Raymond James Stadium. The Gators are holding their practices at Jesuit High School. This is the 5th time each team has made it to the bowl game.

WHAM singer George Michaels dies

George Michael, lead singer of the 80’s band WHAM is dead at 53 of a heart attack. He’s just another of the losses this year that included John Glenn, Fidel Castro, Florence Henderson, Janet Reno and so many others.

Not even Christmas offered a reprieve to Chicago’s tide of gun violence, as almost 50 were shot all over the city. At least 11 people were killed and 33 were wounded in shootings over the holiday weekend.

White out conditions continue to plague holiday travelers. The bad weather heads to Canada today after making roads virtually impassable over the weekend in the West.

George Michael, lead singer of the 80’s band WHAM is dead at 53 of a heart attack. He’s just another of the losses this year that included John Glenn, Fidel Castro, Florence Henderson, Janet Reno and so many others.

Bird strike grounds flight at TIA

A Delta flight hit an Osprey as it landed at TIA yesterday causing a huge crack in the nose of the plane. There were no injuries but the plane was grounded.

After a Pasco woman lost a second child to co-sleeping, authorities are warning of the dangers of letting infants sleep next to you in bed.

The death is rising in that explosion in Mexico at a fireworks market. Several injured children have been flown to the US for treatment at the Shriner’s Burns Hospital.

Isis is claiming responsibility for the attack on a crowded Christmas market in Berlin over the weekend. Police released a suspect yesterday after determining he wasn’t involved. Expect added security for events like football games and large gatherings.

Evidence shows the shooter in the assassination of Russia’s Ambassador may not have acted alone. Officials are calling these continuing attacks, the new normal for all of us.

A former Salvation Army volunteer was arrested yesterday on 28 counts of trying to defraud the agency of toys meant for less fortunate kids in the Bay area.

Hollywood’s mourning the death of another screen legend as we learned yesterday of the passing of Zsa Zsa Gabor at 99 years old.

The Electoral College meets today to officially elect Donald Trump as the 45th President of the United States as questions continue about Russian hacking. More than half of Americans believe there was some interference by the Kremlin in U.S. elections.
