Kids Robbed At Lemonade Stand: Bald Eagle Watch Is On!

Some Hillsborough County kids who were only trying to make a few bucks selling lemonade were robbed by a 19 and 16 year old who wanted more than they were served. When one of the kids threw a cup at 19-year-old Deante Small he stole some $13 and the kids’ iPod. Now Small could face a felony charged and the 16 year old with battery and petty theft.
What was keeping everyone on edge yesterday, and probably away from their work? Bald Eagle watch! The two southwest Florida eagles known as Harriet and M15 have been on camera, which caught one of the eggs starting to crack yesterday. You can spend a few quality moments watching here. Experts think both eggs will hatch in time for the New Year.
Bucs running back Doug Martin will not play in this weekend’s final regular season game against the Carolina Panthers at Raymond James Stadium. Martin was suspended for violating the league’s drug policy and is under a four game suspension. Martin said he’s going into rehab immediately rather than appeal the suspension.
We’ll know exactly who will be coming to Tampa for the college football national championship game after this weekend. This weekend’s semifinal games on Saturday have Alabama taking on Washington in the Peach Bowl and Ohio State against Clemson in the Fiesta Bowl. The winners advance to Tampa for the game in Raymond James Stadium on the 9th.
Outback Bowl festivities are underway in the Bay area with the Florida Gator and Iowa Hawkeyes in town for the game scheduled for this Monday at Raymond James Stadium. The Gators are holding their practices at Jesuit High School. This is the 5th time each team has made it to the bowl game.
