Macy’s is about to close three Bay area stores and that means the loss of 6,200 jobs. The stores that are closing are University Square in Tampa; Lakeland Square, Lakeland; and Sarasota Square, Sarasota. The closures will happen before the end of the year, and for a full list of other stores shutting down, click here.

bowl-gamesThe College Football National Championship coming to Tampa and Raymond James Stadium on Monday with the Alabama Crimson Tide and Clemson playing.  But between road closures for events and heavier than normal traffic, you might want to take advantage of free Uber rides that AT&T will pick up the tab for. You’ll need to be patient since a lot of visitors will also be taking advantage of it. Use that Uber app and request “FOOTBALL” anytime between 11 am – 7 pm Saturday through Monday. Some riders even to get us a Samsung tablet on game day.

Over the holidays a much larger number of pets ended up at Pasco County– 87 of them. So to try and get owners and pets back together they’ve put together a video that you can view here. They are all up for adoption so just call Pasco County Animal Services at (727) 834-3216 for more information. This is National Walk Your Dog Month.
