Three people have been arrested in connection with the death of Orlando Police Master Sgt. Debra Clayton in Orlando. Those in custody include the niece of suspected shooter Markeith Loyd’s – Lakensha Smith-Loyd; Loyd’s ex- girlfriend Jameis Slaughter, and Zarghee Mayan who was accused of hiding Markeith Loyd after he was suspected of killing his girlfriend back in December. The reward for any information leading the arrest of Markeith Lloyd is up to $100,000.
John Johnchuck has been found competent to stand trial for the death of his daughter Phoebe. He’s accused of throwing Phoebe off the approach to the Sunshine Skyway in January 2015. He faces the death penalty.
The former administrator of Lakeland’s McKeel Academy was arrested and charged with stealing over $100,000 from the school. Ginger Collins did resign in September and reportedly admitted to embezzling the money. She supervised fund raisers for the school along with a transitional budget program and had access to five credit cards.
