Dogs Rescued; Stormwater Fees Rise In Pasco County

The Suncoast Animal League rescued five very neglected Lhasa Apso dogs. There fur was so matter Executive Director Rick Chaboudy said you could hardly tell they were dogs. With the help of Island Dog Outfitters Rick and volunteers spent over 8 hours grooming the dogs who are now recovering at the shelter and will be placed in foster homes before adoption. Red Tide Levels Up, Body and More Plane Wreckage Found

More wreckage and a another body have been found in Cedar Key, close to the area when a small plane went down with three on board. Recovery crews have already found Hue Singletary, and the pilot, Jaspe Jerrels. Jerrells son Jasper is still listed as missing. The plane is being taken to Jacksonville for examination by investigators.

Red tide is still a problem from Pinellas County and all the way to the south in Charlotte County. Florida Fish and Wildlife found the red tide at medium levels, so if you have respiratory problems it’s best to stay away from the beach. You [More]

Closures Announced For Bloomin’ Brands Restaurants

Bad news for fans of Outback, Carrabba’s, Bonefish and Fleming’s, restaurants all owned by the Bloomin’ Brands. The company said 43 underperforming stores will be closed but they have not identified which stores will close. At the same time the company also said they will open 40-50 new restaurants this year. Successful Launch & “Superfog”

SpaceEx finally had their first successful commercial launch to the International Space Station Sunday. The launch was stopped in the final seconds on Saturday, but the cargo ship to the ISS is now on the way with supplies. The rocket itself made a perfect landing back on the pad at the Kennedy Space Center.

This morning it’s a matter of watching out for what’s referred to as “superfog” that might be an issue in Polk County. Smoke from the brushfires combined with fog make driving conditions extremely hazardous. At least 5,000 acres have been burned.

Missing Brandon Girl Found

Eleven year old Jenna Irmler who had been missing from her home in Brandon since Tuesday evening was found yesterday in Pasco County. She was spotted walking along Highway 39, and deputies think she was purposely trying to avoid being found.

St Pete City Council gave the okay to expansion at Al Lang Stadium at yesterday’s meeting. That was just the first reading for the proposed addition of 11,000 seats. Brandon Girl Missing

Hillsborough County Sheriff’s deputies are still looking for eleven year old Jenna Irmler who has been missing from her home in Brandon since Tuesday evening. Jenna has Asperger’s syndrome and her parents said that may keep her from responding to her name if she doesn’t know the person.
