Tampa Ranks High As Affordable Place To Live

tampaIt turns out Tampa is a fairly affordable place to live. The latest cost-of-living date from the Council for Community and Economic Research has our cost of living below the national average. Least affordable honors went to New York City.

An adult manatee and her calf were pulled from a retention pond in Oldsmar. Florida Fish and Wildlife officials think the two came in at high tide and were trapped in Bicentennial Park, next to the Mobbly Bayou Wilderness Preserve. They’re now out and safe back in the Bay.

super-bowlIt’s Parade Day in Boston for the New England Patriots. For the first time in history the Super Bowl went into overtime, and the New England Patriots came back from 19 points down to beat the Atlanta Falcons 34-28. Tom Brady was named the game MVP.

Pasco County is thinking about imposing a countywide fee of $77 to help finance drainage construction costs. The total cost of that improvement project could run $300 million dollars. County Commissioners will meet on the 21st in New Port Richey to discuss those fees.
