Wrong Way Driver Injures Two

Another suspected drunk driver going the wrong way triggered a head-on accident on 75 over the weekend. Charges are pending against Glenn Richardson who was arrested just last year on charges that also included a DUI. Both drivers will be okay. That crash happened Sunday morning near mile marker 236 in Hillsborough County.

It’s not your usual wedding chapel but a couple in Brooksville were married in a Publix. Mike Gonzalez and Cynthia Smith exchanged vows at register four where she was the checkout cashier and he was the smitten customer.

A pelican that had gotten tangled up in fishing line was in the median and was trying to fly and was in danger of being hit. They managed to catch the bird and with the help of Road Rangers, Florida Fish and Wildlife and the Owl’s Nest Sanctuary for Wildlife the pelican is expected to be fine.

Driving through downtown St Pete is a little tricky. Preparations are underway for the Grand Prix next month with barriers going up for the race course. Watch for detours.
