The 89th Annual Academy Awards ended on a confusing note, to say the least, after a mistake in the named winner of Best Picture. Actor Warren Beatty was on stage presenting the award with actress Faye Dunaway and after pausing to read the winner, he looked to Dunaway. She then announced that the award went to musical “La La Land. It turns out the winner of the Best Picture Oscar was “Moonlight.”
Grocery chain Trader Joe’s says it is recalling certain varieties of its apple sauce because of the potential presence of glass. The First Crush Unsweetened Gravenstein Apple Sauce best before Aug. 8; Organic Unsweetened Apple Sauce best before Oct. 6; and All Natural Unsweetened Apple Sauce best before Dec. 16 have been removed from shelves and destroyed.
Police identified the driver who crashed through a parade crowd in New Orleans. Neilson Rizzuto, 25, was arrested and charged with first degree negligent vehicular injuring, hit-and-run driving causing serious injury and reckless operation of a vehicle, New Orleans Police said in a statement Sunday.
Neil Fingleton, the 7-foot-7-inch actor and tallest man in Britain died Saturday. He was 36 years old. Fingleton was known for his role as Mag The Mighty on the HBO series, “Game of Thrones.” Before becoming an actor, Fingleton was a basketball player.
