Accused Flamingo Killer Back In Court

Joseph Corrao, the Florida man who is accused of killing Pinky the dancing flamingo at Busch Gardens must have in-home competency training before the animal cruelty case against him can continue. Two doctors have already said Corrao is not competent to stand trial right now.


The city of St Pete may be taking control of Tangerine Plaza soon. The shopping center has seen two grocery stores come and go, and now it’s been sold at auction. Summit Bridge bought the lease holding rights and eventually those could be turned over to the city. It’s a pretty complicated deal. For the full story check this morning’s Tampa Bay Times.


Boaters found the body of Jie Luo near Bunces Pass yesterday. Luo was one of two people who were missing. Searchers found the body of boat crew member Andrew Dillman on Monday. The two were on a chartered boat with students from Colorado State University when some of the students decided to jump into the water. Luo was struggling and Dillman had gone in to the water to try and save him.


A fifteen year old deaf poodle named Taffy was rescued from a storm drain yesterday. Her owner Wesson Williams said Taffy wandered away and he later found her in the drain. Port Richey Fire Rescue and the Water Department came to Taffy’s rescue, who came out just fine, still wearing her pink sweater.
