The Treasure Island Police Department is looking for the pilot of an ultralight plane that flew within feet of boaters on Saturday. It was also seen over the Gulf near Treasure Island again on Sunday. If you can help please call the Treasure Island Police Department at (727) 547-4545 and use the case reference number TI17-4985. You can see the video from the Treasure Island Police Dept here of that plane.

Daniel and Isabella Gomez were told they were chosen to throw out the ceremonial first pitch at Sunday’s Yankees spring training game but it turned out to be a lot more for them. Their parents, Jose and Elizabeth Gomez were dressed in the catchers gear. They had been deployed in Kuwait and Irag for the past year.

University of South Florida defensive back Hassan Childs was shot three times Saturday night, and police say it might have been a case of road rage that started it all. Jovanni Jimenez told police he shot Childs in self-defense, after Childs had pointed a gun at him and his family in their car. Childs is recovering and the case is still under investigation.
