The very first pitch of the new baseball season belonged to the Rays, who had an opening day win. They beat the Yankees 7-3, and already have the day off before taking on the Yankees again tomorrow night. First pitch at the Trop is at 7:10 am.
If you drive along 4th St North in St Pete, make sure you’re following all the rules. The St Pete Police Department is starting a new program to target violators in the city’s busiest areas and today that includes 4th St North between 5th Avenue North and 22nd Street. This also includes those on foot and on bicycles.
Ford is recalling more than 52,000 F-250 trucks over concerns the trucks could start moving while still in park. Ford suggest that drivers keep the parking brake on until they can get the car fixed at a dealer at no cost.
The Manatee is no longer on the endangered list and that has some people worried. The ironic part of the story is that the announcement was made the day after Manatee Appreciation Day by The US Fish and Wildlife Service. The Save the Manatee Club has already made plans to file suit to overturn that decision.
The Pasco County Health Department has confirmed one case of tuberculosis.
They are not saying who the person is but they are contacting anyone that would have worked with or around that person and to warn them of symptoms. We have more information for you from the Center for Disease Control and the Florida State Health Department.
