St Pete Mayor Rick Kriseman threw out the first pitch at yesterday’s Rays game and also renewed his pitch to keep the team in St Petersburg. The Mayor presented his report across the street from The Trop at Ferg’s. The report highlighted just how the city would like to renovate the area around the stadium, but not who would pay for it.
Hillsborough County Commissioners moved one step closer to banning the commercial sale of cats and dogs. Instead the stores would be stocked with animals from local pet shelters. They’re trying to stop abusive breeders and so called puppy mills. A final reading on the proposal and vote is scheduled for next month.
Seminole mom Kelly Zeilter is charged with driving under the influence with her eight children in the care at the time. It was one of those children who told deputies it smelled like his mom was drinking. She’s also facing eight counts of felony child abuse. She’s in jail with a $40,000 bond.
