Brush Fire Grows To 650 Acres

The brush fire in Hernando County has burned over 650 acres and is only 50% contained as of the latest update. The fire in on the Weekiwachee Preserve. Roads remain closed to all but local traffic for Shoal Line Blvd between Osowaw Boulevard and Linda Pederson Park on Shoal Line Boulevard. One last word of advice – for those of you who have tried fly drones through the area DO NOT FLY DRONES in the area of the #Watertower fire in Hernando Beach. Going out of business sales started at HHGregg stores over the weekend after the company announced they weren’t able to find someone to buy the chain in bankruptcy court. 220 stores will close nationwide including four in the Bay area.
