A depression opened Sunday on the Veteran’s Expressway and they had to shut down all the northbound lanes just to the south of the Hutchinson overpass. Lanes were reopened overnight, but the FHP has warned us that could change at any time.

It was the final curtain for the “greatest show on earth” last night in New York. Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey’s last performance was in Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, N.Y. That final performance was streamed live on Facebook as the circus closed after 146 years.

AAA thinks we’re about to have a very busy Memorial Day weekend with over two million Floridians heading out on the highways. Nationwide take the number up to over 39 million. Most of us will keep that trip to within 50 miles of home.

A dog undergoing treatment for cancer managed to escape Blue Pearl Veterinary Partners last week and is still missing. Shelby is a 4-year old boxer and ran from the office on Busch to the east of Dale Mabry. They’re worried about her becoming dehydrated in this heat and have offered a $1,000 reward. She’s been spotted in the area a couple of times since escaping Wednesday.
