Hillsborough County Commissioners To Vote On Medical Marijuana Dispensaries

Hillsborough County Commissioners will meet today to talk about just how many medical marijuana dispensaries there should be in the county. The current proposal is for 13. That meeting begins at 10 am.
There was no winner in Powerball Saturday so now tonight’s drawing is expected to grow to $375 million or more. That makes the 17th time the jackpot has rolled over since April 17th
Palmetto City Commissioners gave the okay for a New Year’s Day Marathon that would take runners across the Sunshine Skyway Bridge. If Manatee County gives their approval the race would start at the north end of the bridge’s rest area and head over to Palmetto’s Blackstone Park. Race organizers say the bridge has the lowest amount of traffic that day, and the bridge would only be closed from 6-9 am..
Tampa General Hospital has named their new CEO and he’s no stranger to the Bay area. John Couris brings over ten years of experience at high level positions in Pinellas and Pasco Counties, and most recently as a hospital executive from Jupiter. Couris will take over at TGH in September.
