Pasco County To Test Sinkhole Water

This morning at 8 am, Pasco County officials will start testing the water at the nine homes that were under evacuation orders when the 225 foot sinkhole opened last week. Chemicals in the water of the sinkhole were considered hazardous. Four of those nine homeowners were allowed back in their homes over the weekend.

 

A tragic accident in the waters off the Courtney Campbell Causeway Sunday took the life of one man and seriously injured a woman. The boat hit something in the water near Rocky Point, and threw the man into the water and struck him. The woman has minor injuries and should be okay.

 

The Trans Siberian Orchestra has lost another member. Founder Paul O’Neill died earlier this year in Tampa, and last week bassist David Zablidowski died in a crash Saturday night on 75 when a truck ran into the van he was traveling in that was pulled off to the side to change a flat tire. That tractor trailer hit other vehicles as well.

 

The personal data of some six million Verizon customers has been leaked online. Verizon says it was human error that put the customer phone numbers, names, and some PIN codes online. Up to 14 million accounts may have been compromised. Verizon says you should change your PIN. Check for more on the leak here

 

It’s not the kind of news a bride-to-be wants to hear. Alfred Angelo Bridal stores are closing nationwide. The Tampa location told brides their dresses would be shipped FedEx. We have more on the story here. Competitor David’s Bridal has stepped up to help those brides left hanging. They said it would offer  30 percent discounts to brides and 20 percent discounts to bridesmaids who now need new gowns.
