Sinkhole Grows, More Homes Condemned

The sinkhole in Land O Lakes grew over the weekend and two more homes have been condemned Crews had to stop cleanup on Friday when the ground became unstable once again. Pasco County Commissioners have awarded a contract to Ceres Environmental Services for the project cleanup. For now the county’s insurance fund will be picking up the $1.3 million dollar price tag for the initial phase of the cleanup that will take some 3-4 weeks.


The Hillsborough County Regional Transit Authority Board will be voting on a new bus system today. If approved, some 20% of routes will disappear but those that remain will have buses stopping more often.
