Dog Abandoned On Busy Tampa Road

There’s a heartbreaking video that showed up on social media yesterday that appears to be someone abandoning a dog, and then the dog chasing after the car. Dash cam video shows the car stopping on North Blvd, just off MLK in Tampa. No one has been able to catch fawn red nose pit bull. Hillsborough County Pet Services is investigating and reminds everyone you can drop off unwanted pets with them.

An Uber driver helped save the life of a man who told him he wanted to be driven to the top of the Sunshine Skyway Bridge Monday. The driver, who does not want to be identified, said he refused and dropped the man off near the north fishing pier after talking with him. Police rescued him from the water after he ran in when they arrived.

St Pete Beach city commissioners have voted to approve the sale of alcohol at the beachfront private property or waterfront hotels. Only registered guests would be able to buy drinks. There will be a final reading on the issue later this month.

Using the bus in Hillsborough County may be a little tougher. The Hillsborough County Transit authority voted to approve the plan that will eliminate 20% of existing routes. The routes that stay will have buses stopping more often to try and make up for the loss of the other routes.

The sinkhole in Land O Lakes grew over the weekend and a total of seven homes have been condemned Crews had to stop cleanup on Friday when the ground became unstable once again. Engineers think the reason the sinkhole has not stabilized is its proximity to a lake, where the ground may just be trying to do what come naturally – connect with the lake.
