Just one winning Powerball ticket came up in last night’s drawing. That ticket is worth almost $759 million dollars, and was sold in Massachusetts. That’s the largest jackpot ever sold for a single ticket.
A water main break will keep the westbound lanes of Fletcher Ave from 75 to Telecom Parkway closed for some time. When that main broke it actually formed a cavern under the street.
There’s a bill under consideration in Tallahassee that would forbid anyone in the SNAP, or Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program to buy soda. The Department of Children and Family Services needs federal approval first to stop SNAP users from using their assistance for soda. If the bill does pass it would go into effect July 1st, 2018.
Hotel guests will be allowed to drink alcohol on St Pete Beach. It was a unanimous vote by City Commissioners with a reminder if you’re not a hotel guest, you’re breaking the law if you drink on their beaches.
