Hurricane Irma Makes First Landfall As Cat 5

Hurricane Irma made landfall early this morning with the eye passing over Bermuda, still a Category 5 storm. Governor Scott has declared a state of emergency in advance of the storm and  The Florida Price Gouging Hotline has also been activated. Under state law it is illegal to raises prices to the extreme for items like water, food, ice, gas and hotel rooms. To report any illegal activity call 1-866-NO-SCAM.

As for the Miami Dolphins season opener with the Tampa Bay Bucs scheduled for 1 pm Sunday in Hard Rock Stadium in Orlando, that game will not happen, The NFL issued an official statement yesterday, but did say if it would be moved.
