We actually have three active hurricanes out there. Irma is the most powerful hurricane ever recorded in the Atlantic with 185 mph winds. Hurricane Katia may affect the Mexican coastline, and Hurricane Jose is out in the central Atlantic and is no threat to Florida right now.
Governor Scott has declared a state of emergency in advance of the storm, and the Florida Price Gouging Hotline has also been activated.
