The path of Hurricane Irma is now taking the storm right up the center of the state. It’s still a category five storm with winds of 160 mph. Stay up to date with the Dove Hurricane Guide and our partners from Ten News, Home of StormTracker Ten. If you are evacuating, check with Florida 511 for on travel conditions, and if you’re searching for gas try the GasBuddy app.

Governor Scott has declared a state of emergency in advance of the storm, and the Florida Price Gouging Hotline has also been activated. Under state law it is illegal to raises prices to the extreme for items like water, food, ice, gas and hotel rooms. To report any illegal activity call 1-866-NO-SCAM.

Just about all events are canceled this weekend and that includes the Miami Dolphins season opener with the Tampa Bay Bucs that was scheduled for 1 pm Sunday in Hard Rock Stadium in Orlando. It will be played when both teams have a bye week, on November 19th.
