Dunedin Man Found With Guns And Explosive, Maps Of Area Schools

A 24 year old Dunedin man is under arrest and charged with possession of destructive devices. The Pinellas County Sheriff’s office had gone to Randall Drake’s home to serve a warrant on another charge and found more than 2,000 rounds of ammunition, numerous guns, explosives maps of many Hillsborough County Schools, and the County’s Wastewater Treatment plant. He’s being held on a $20,000 bond, but Sheriff Gualtieri said even if he does bond out he’ll be back in custody on a mental health evaluation.


The Florida Department of Children and Families are concerned that some recipients might be taking benefits and then selling them. They’ve seen posts on Craigslist and Facebook. Investigators have been screening those who come to apply and if they’re caught committing fraud denies benefits on the spot.


Jameis Winston was hurt in last Sunday’s loss to the Arizona Cardinals, and left the game in the second quarter. He’ll test out that shoulder at practice today to see if he’s ready for Sunday’s game against Buffalo. Ryan Fitzpatrick filled in last week and could start Sunday. The Bucs are now in last place in the NFC South.


It’s now official. Tampa has another Super Bowl on the way. The city was awarded the Super Bowl LV yesterday, scheduled for February 7th, 2021. This makes five Super Bowls for the city. LA was supposed to host but construction delays triggered a change of plans.


The family that owns Brady the dog that escaped her crate at TIA while being loaded onto a Delta flight is now offering a $1,500 reward for her safe return. Owner Christie Pennell says she’s staying in Tampa until they find the dog.
