Tampa Police arrested 24 year old Howell Emanuel Donaldson who now faces four counts of first degree of murders in Seminole Heights. He was arrested at a McDonalds in Ybor. There’s still no reported motive for the killings, but Tampa Police Chief Brian Dugan said they received 5,000 tips in the case. HART will resume regular bus service for Route 9 in Seminole Heights now that police have Donaldson in custody.

There’s an anti-bullying bill being proposed in Tallahassee that has some parents upset. It basically give parents who’s child is being bullied a voucher to send them to another school but allows the bully to stay at that school. Residents in Seminole Heights are encouraging each other to “Light the Heights” with plenty of holiday lights. Volunteers have been going through the neighborhood asking people who live there to brighten the night since there is still no arrest in the four unsolved murders. The busiest travel days of the year are here, and at Tampa International Airport they’re confiscating more weapons than ever. Security has already found 86 guns, setting a new record. If you’re traveling with a gun, you’re reminded it must be in a locked case and checked with your luggage. If you don’t you could face jail time and a fine of up to $12,000.

A preliminary report was released by the NTSB yesterday on the fatal flight of former major league pitched Roy Halladay. It confirmed Halladay took off from Odessa and did not file a flight plan. It also confirmed reports from witnesses that said the plan had climbed sharply before it went nose down into the Gulf. The full report won’t be out for a few months.

With four still unsolved murders in Seminole Heights, residents came together Saturday to unite for the annual Day of Thanks. That included Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn handing out turkeys, and churches providing food and clothing. The reward has grown to $100,000 for information leading the arrest of the suspect. Two men were lucky to walk away from the crash of their four-seater plane in Clearwater Sunday afternoon. The pilot told investigators he had engine trouble and crashed on Keene at Sunset Point. closing that road for five hours. The FAA is investigating.

At a press conference Wednesday afternoon, Tampa Police released additional video on a person they are now considering a suspect in Tuesday’s morning shooting in Seminole Heights of a Tampa man to the three previous murders. The description they have of a suspect in the death of Ron Felton is a thin, tall black man. You’re asked to call TPD with any information at 1-800-873-TIPS. There was a shooting in Seminole Heights overnight that Tampa PD are calling “suspicious.” Police found a man’s body shortly before 5 am just off Nebraska near East Berry Ave. It has not officially been tied to three earlier deaths and police are still asking for help in those shootings.
