The Bucs snap a five game with losing streak with Ryan Fitzpatrick leading them to 15-10 win over the Jets Sunday. The Bucs are now 3-6. And the Lightning pick a win of their own with a 2-1 win over the Ducks.
Hillsborough County Sheriff’s deputies managed to rescue an 82 year old woman who was trapped in her sinking car Sunday. They’re not sure why Leona Evans lost control of her car and went into a pond in Plant City, but pulled her out of the car before it sank. She’s in serious condition in Lakeland Regional Hospital.
A service to remember the life of Roy Halladay will be open to the public at Spectrum Field in Clearwater Tuesday. The event is scheduled for 4 pm. The NTSB is continuing to investigate the crash of his plane off the coast of Pasco County.
A seventeen year old girl said she saw a “large cat” around Crosby Road in Myakka City yesterday. She thought it was a tiger. The Manatee County Sheriff’s office said they’ve had no reports of any missing tigers but if you see anything like it to get to a safe place and call the FWC’s Wildlife Alert Hotline at 888-404-3922.
You can blame our busy hurricane season for one more thing – a lot more jellyfish in the water in Bay area beaches. Thousands of the Atlantic Sea Nettle Jellyfish are in the waters right now. Keep an eye out for warning signs at the beach and be careful where you swim, and step.
Metropolitan Ministries holiday tent is open in downtown Tampa at the corner of Cass and Nebraska. The need for donations is expected to be stronger than usual thanks to our hurricanes and families coming into the area from Puerto Rico.
