St Pete Utility Bills Going Up

St Pete residents will see an increase in their utility bills starting January 1st to help pay for repairs to the sewer system. It’s a 16% increase to help pay for the more than $32 million dollars in repairs and upgrades.


Metropolitan Ministries holiday tent is open in downtown Tampa at the corner of Cass and Nebraska and right now the big need is for turkeys and hams. The need for donations is stronger than usual thanks to our hurricanes and families coming into the area from Puerto Rico. For more on what is needed click here.


It wasn’t just another show for the Florida Orchestra Saturday night. They celebrated their 50th anniversary with a gala performance with Sting. The event raised $1.5 million dollars to be used for bringing in more soloists, and for work in the community.


This weekend’s cold snap had shelters open and even a little snow in the Panhandle. A few inches fell in Escambia County


If you paid your Duke Energy bill by check or cash at a payment processing center your personal information may have been stolen. TIO Networks process those payments and reported a hack that can affect customer information going back to 2008. TIO is sending letters out to customers in Florida, Georgia and the Carolinas.
