We’re less than a week away from Christmas and Metropolitan Ministries in in desperate need for gifts for teen girls and younger girls ages 3-12. The holiday tent is open in downtown Tampa at the corner of Cass and Nebraska and they can also use foods like turkey and hams. The need for donations is stronger than usual thanks to our hurricanes and families coming into the area from Puerto Rico. For more on what is needed click here.

If you’re flying out of St Pete-Clearwater airport you may have trouble finding somewhere to park. Even with increasing parking by 1,000 spaces over the last few years the lots are just about at capacity due to airlines adding more flights. There are no additional private lots so you might want to consider having someone drop you off or taking a cab.

Even though medical marijuana is legal in Florida, the dispensaries are not welcome in Temple Terrace. City leaders voted 9-1 Tuesday to ban them within city limits.

Tampa Bay Bucs Gerald McCoy has made the Pro Bowl squad. This makes his sixth consecutive nomination. He’s now tied with Mike Alstott and Lee Roy Selmon in third place; the ones with the most? Warren Sapp at seven and Derrick Brooks with ten.

A massive power outage at Atlanta Hartsfield Airport triggered by a fire in an electrical facility will be causing delays well into the weekend. With over 1400 canceled flights, the majority on Delta they say trying to find seats for all those flyers is going to take time. So, it’s the usual drill if you have a flight out this week, or have guests coming in for the holidays to call ahead for flight information.
