The first chain of medical marijuana clinics to open in Florida is already closing most of them. Tetra Health Care had six locations statewide and the only one to stay open will be in Tampa on MLK.  Tetra said delays for patients trying to get the qualifying medical marijuana cards were one problem that led to the closings along with changes to how someone can qualify. Details are in this story from the Tampa Bay Times.

Christmas is Monday, and Metropolitan Ministries are still in desperate need for gifts for teen girls and younger girls ages 3-12. The holiday tent is open in downtown Tampa at the corner of Cass and Nebraska and they can also use foods like turkey and hams. The need for donations is stronger than usual thanks to our hurricanes and families coming into the area from Puerto Rico. For more on what is needed click here.

If you’re flying out of St Pete-Clearwater airport you may have trouble finding somewhere to park. Even with increasing parking by 1,000 spaces over the last few years the lots are just about at capacity due to airlines adding more flights. There are no additional private lots so you might want to consider having someone drop you off or taking a cab.
