911 System Affected When Crews Cut Cable

The 911 system was down in a large part of the Bay area, thanks to a crew in Frontier crew in Clewiston in South Florida that accidentally cut a cable. Repairs were completed but in case it does go down again, keep this list of back-up numbers handy.


Somewhere near Tampa Bay a great white shark made a return visit Wednesday. The eight-foot shark nickname “Savannah” was tagged last year near Hilton Head, South Carolina. On New Year’s Day researcher’s also had a ping from another, much larger shark named”Miss Costa.” She weighs in somewhere over 1,600 pounds and is over 12 feet long. You can track her here.


A lawsuit has been filed against the owners of the casino shuttle boat that caught fire in Port Richey earlier this month. Tropical Breeze Casino Cruz is being sued by Deborah Jero for injuries she suffered jumping from the boat in the amount of $15,000. One woman did die after she went home after the fire and her cause of death is under investigation


This one was out of the ordinary donation for a Manatee Goodwill. A loaded grenade launcher was found in a donation bin in Sarasota. The Sheriff’s office safely removed it to a Hazmet locker.
