Candlelight vigils will be held across the state tonight in honor of the Parkland shooting victims. The vigils will begin at 7 pm. We have a list of locations that do include Hillsborough and Pinellas counties. At least 100 students from Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School, where the shootings took place, are expected in Tallahassee today.

A 14-year old boy from Pinellas Park was arrested and charged with making threats on social media Friday night. The specific threat was against the Lealman Innovation Academy in St Petersburg. The post was reported to Pinellas Park Police and he was arrested Saturday night.

Our weather will come close to record-breaking temperatures this week. Daily highs in the mid to upper 80’s are expected with Wednesday  being the day that could break a record high of 87 degrees.

It’s the final day at the Florida State Fair, and up next it’s the Florida Strawberry Festival. Opening day is March 1st.
