It’s good news for homeowners across Tampa Bay with prices still on the rise as of last month. A story in this morning’s Tampa Bay Times cites Pasco as having the greatest increase. But sales in Pinellas and Hillsborough have gone done due to a lack of homes that are affordable to most buyers.

There have been four bomb threats in the past week at Central High School in Brooksville causing a lockdown. Hernando County Sheriff Al Neinhause believes all four are related and is asking for help from students and parents. The Sheriff said even if the person who called in those threats is a juvenile he wants them charged as an adult.

Active shooter drills will be a part of the school day just as fire drills are before long across Tampa Bay. Some schools are already doing monthly drills, along with added security measures and the addition of more school resource officers. Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri told the Pinellas County Comissioners  earlier this week that it will cost almost $24 million additional dollars to put  school resource officers in schools by July 1st.  No action was taken on the issue, and workshops are scheduled for more discussion.
