SPPD Searching For Fake Cop

St Pete Police are on the lookout for someone passing himself off as officer after a women reported being pulled over on 5th Ave South and 34th St. He was wearing a fake uniform with a badge and driving a white sedan that looked like a police car. The Blade Line Fire in Polk County continues to burn near Nalcrest, just to the east of Lake Wales. Some home were evacuated briefly over the weekend and it is still only about 50% contained. It’s wildfire season and all the debris left over from last year’s hurricanes are only adding fuel to the fires.

 

 

Governor Scott signed the year-round Daylight Saving Time Bill on Friday, but it’s not law yet. The “Sunshine Protection Act” does need Congressional approval.

 

 

After five bomb threats in four days in Brooksville at Central High School and Endeavor Academy a seventeen year old female student was arrested and charged with making a total of six false bomb threats. Estimates are only ten per cent showed up for classes on Thursday. The HSCO said she admitted to calling in the false threats, and Hernando County Sheriff Al Neinhause wants her charged as an adult.
