Single game tickets for the first round playoffs for the Stanley Cup will go on sale in Tampa Friday morning at 10 am. The Lightning have home field advantage for games one and two which will be sometime during the week of April 12th. The Lightning say they expect team captain Steve Stamkos to be ready to play after he left a game over the weekend with an aggravated lower body injury.
It might to tougher to find a spot on the sand soon. Starting July 1st access to the beach that’s behind private business and homes could be restricted. What is considered the “dry sand” above the high tide line would be open to those private areas only. It’s the first time for beaches in Pinellas County to enforce the new law.
A homeowner in Sarasota had to call for help to get an 11-foot alligator out of his backyard pool. Sarasota Sheriff’s Deputies were called and managed to catch the gator safely.
Port Tampa Bay had a record-breaking weekend with 29,000 passengers passing through on six different cruise ships. The last week in March brought some 50,000 visitors through the Port. There’s no official record but Port authorities think that week was also a record-breaker.
