Hurricane Irma is being blamed for the rise in sinkholes across the state. We’re into what is considered “sinkhole season, and most experts are warning us that they expect to see a lot more thanks to the impact from the storm.
The Pinellas County School Board has approved new start times that will have high school students in class at 7:20 am, just a little later than this year’s 7:05 am start. A slightly later start was also approved for middle and elementary students. Those few minutes will cost the district close to a million dollars to add more bus routes and drivers.
