The Lightning take four straight from Boston and move on to the Eastern Conference Finals after last night’s 3-1 win at Amalie Arena. Tampa will once again have home ice advantage with games one and two at Amalie Arena, and tickets go on sale to the general public at 5 pm today. Their opponent will be either the Washington Capitols or Pittsburgh Penguins. Washington leads that series 3-2. Just a reminder that the new traffic patterns due to the Water Street Tampa construction project will slow your trip downtown. Brorein is permanently closed between Channelside and South Nebraska and that’s just the start. A Jet Blue plane headed for Tampa International Airport  from San Juan had to land in Ft Lauderdale after a cockpit window cracked. There were no injuries and passengers were switched to another plane.

A woman in Tampa had a cockroach crawl in her ear and now that story has gone viral. Katie Holley first had her husband to get it out, then a trip to the hospital for the rest. But days later she  went to her own family doctor to find more remains thathad to be removed.  Last year Florida ranked third as the most cockroach infested state in the US.
