Game One Of Eastern Conference Finals Tonight

The sold-out game one of the Eastern Conference finals between the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Washington Capitals is tonight at  Amalie Arena at 8 pm. Game two is also at Amalie will be  Sunday at 8 pm. A Marion County Sheriff’s Deputy is being called a hero after his quick actions saved the life of a three-month old baby in Ocala. Deputy Jeremie Nix was flagged down by the little boy’s mother and rushed the child to the hospital when he was concerned an ambulance would not arrive in time. Baby Kingston is doing just fine according to press release thanks to Deputy Nix. You can see the dashcam video that’s gone viral here.



The newest park in Tampa opens this weekend with free performance from the Florida Orchestra on Sunday. Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park. Please bring along some non-perishable food items that will be donated to Tampa Bay Harvestt. Ann Kelly will host the Florida Orchestra’s performance that comes complete with fireworks starting at 7:30 pm.




If your picnic or tailgating plans for the weekend include salad, watch out for the romaine. The romaine lettuce recall now extends into 29 states, including Florida and is responsible on death, and possibly as many as 17 people reporting kidney failure from possible E. coli contamination. At least 149 people have been sickened, 17 in the hospital.

Former Buccaneer Head Coach Tony Dungy will be inducted into the Ring of Honor during a Monday Night Football game September 24th. The game will be between the Bucs and the Steelers. He is the only one to be inducted this year. Dungy went into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2016.
