After Saturday’s 3-2 victory over the Washington Capitols at Amalie Arena, the Lightning are back on the road for game six Monday night in DC. The Lightning lead the series 3-2 and a win would take them to the Stanley Cup Finals. If a game seven is necessary that will be back at Amalie Arena Wednesday night at 8 pm.
As the end of the school year approaches some schools in the Bay area are increasing security in the aftermath of Friday’s shootings in Texas. Schools in Hillsborough, Pasco, Polk and Manatee counties have said they will have more law enforcement or security through the end of the year.
Two tons of fertilizer was accidentally spilled into upper Tampa Bay Friday by Kinder Morgan. That spill happened at the Port of Tampa and was reported to the state Department of Environmental Protection. The DEP did send a clean up team when the spill was reported. It’s safe to buy romaine again. The U.S. Center for Disease Control and Protection had issued a warning after at E. coli outbreak last month. The tainted romaine was traced to Yuma, Arizona and is no longer being distributed.
