Capitols Force Game Seven

It’s on to game seven after the Lightning lose to Washington, 3-0 last night. That final game will be back at Amalie Arena Wednesday night at 8 pm. The Las Vegas Golden Knights have already clinched a Stanley Cup final berth in their first season of play as an expansion team.

 

 

 

Residents along the Little Manatee and the Alafia River are keeping an eye on out for flooding less than one year after floodwaters threatened the area. The National Weather Service says the river could crest at least one foot above flood level today with more rain predicted. We have the latest on what to expect for the rest of the week, and what might be coming our way for Memorial Day weekend.

 

 

 

As the end of the school year quickly approaches some schools in the Bay area are increasing security in the aftermath of Friday’s shootings in Texas. Schools in Hillsborough, Pasco, Polk and Manatee counties have said they will have more law enforcement or security through the end of the year.

 

 

 

Two tons of fertilizer was accidentally spilled into upper Tampa Bay Friday by Kinder Morgan. That spill happened at the Port of Tampa and was reported to the state Department of Environmental Protection. The DEP did send a clean up team when the spill was reported. The Tampa Bay Times has the full story.

 

 

 

It’s safe to buy romaine again. The U.S. Center for Disease Control and Protection had issued a warning after at E. coli outbreak last month. The tainted romaine was traced to Yuma, Arizona and is no longer being distributed.
