The season is over for the Lightning. They lost to the Washington Capitols at Amalie Arena last night 4-0. Now it’s the Las Vegas Golden Knights taking on the Washington Capitols for the Stanley Cup with Monday night at 8 pm.

Tampa Police say street racers on Bayshore Blvd struck and killed and 24-year-old Jessica Reisinger and seriously injuring her two-year old child yesterday. TPD have charged the two drivers, Cameron Herrin and John Barrineau, with vehicular homicide, reckless driving and street racing. Tristan Herrin was a passenger in one car and will face charges of street racing.

With more storms in the forecast, we have the latest on what to expect for the rest of the week, and what might be coming our way for Memorial Day weekend. This wet weather may also trigger out first tropical depression of the season. There are also a lot more snakes seeking higher ground due to the heavy rain, and since it’s mating season they may be more aggressive.

As the end of the school year quickly approaches some schools in the Bay area are increasing security in the aftermath of Friday’s shootings in Texas. Schools in Hillsborough, Pasco, Polk and Manatee counties have said they will have more law enforcement or security through the end of the year.
