St Pete Pride Parade Threats

St Pete Police and federal authorities are checking into threats made on social media against the St Pete Pride Parade this Saturday. Those posts were found on Facebook and if that person is found they could face charges even if no violence occurs. The parade is this Saturday and is the largest Pride parade in Florida.

 

 

US Navy drops live bombs in Florida national forest
Those aren’t sonic booms residents are hearing around the Ocala National Forest – they’re bombs. The Navy is conducting bomb training exercises in the Pine Castle Range Complex. They’re scheduled to wrap up tonight.

 

 

A bite from a venomous Puss caterpillar sent a Land O Lakes boy to the ER with severe pain and a rash. Logan Pergola’s mom brought it to the hospital in a plastic bag and doctor’s were able to identify it and treat Logan. He’s going to be fine but you’re warned not to touch any bug you can’t identify.

 

 

The SunPass toll system is still having problems more than two weeks after planned maintenance. Some transactions from last month still haven’t been posted but you can check your balance and add to your account.

 

 

Disney is shooting a movie in Lakeland using Southgate Mall and other locations this week. The One and Only Ivan’ stars Bryan Cranston, Ramon Rodriguez, Arianna Greenblatt, Indira Varma, and Eleanor Matsuura. The movie is based on a Katherine Applegate children’s book.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mazzaro’s Italian Market reopened Tuesday after a fire in the warehouse Friday night caused some $75,000 in damage.. The market owners think it was an electrical issue that triggered the blaze.
