The Florida Department of Transportation is withholding payments to Conduent State & Local Solutions, Inc. until problems with SunPass are solved, FDOT blames that contractor for the massive backlog of unprocessed transaction for the toll system. A story in the Tampa Bay Times says Conduent has a history of the same type of problem in seven other stations.
Amazon Prime Day began with a bit of a thud on Monday when people who tried to log on saw an error message on their screens. The online shopping day has been extended by an additional six hours making the online shopping experience a full 36 hours. Amazon did raise prime membership rates this year, but they still expect record-setting sales.
Tonight is Major League Baseball’s All-Star Game at Washington’s Nationals Park. Tampa Bay Ray’s pitcher Blake Snell is on the roster but Ray’s catcher Wilson Ramos will have to sit this one out. He received enough votes to make the team as a starter but an injury will have him on the bench instead. The Rays did give us a look at plans for the proposed new stadium in Tampa last week.The park would be built in Ybor City and includes a translucent roof and sliding glass exterior walls. Seating capacity would be the smallest in Major League baseball at 30,842.

The promotion was incredibly successful and the company had to shut down lines over safety concerns.
