Hurricane Season Heats Up

Tropical Storm Gordon is in the Gulf of Mexico and appears headed for landfall near Louisiana or Mississippi sometime Tuesday night, possibly as a Category one hurricane. High wind warnings are up for the Sunshine Skyway today as Gordon passes by. There is another low coming of the coast of Africa that we’ll continue to track.

 

 

 

 

LPD sketch of suspect in disappearance of wo-year old Jordan Belliveau

Largo Police continue to search for two-year old Jordan Belliveau who has been missing since Saturday. The boy’s mother said they accepted a ride from a man in a white Toyota Camry named Antwan who knocked her out and took off with the boy. A police sketch of the man has been released along with Jordon’s photo. If you see them call the Largo Police Department at 727-587-6730 or 911.

 

 

 

 

Five of the iconic swans on Morton Lake in Lakeland have been struck by cars and died in recent weeks. Police in Lakeland are asking people to slow down and be more aware in the area. One has survived being struck. Residents will meet with city officials Thursday to ask for help keeping the swans safe that are also found in Mirror Lake.

 

 

 

 

The Bucs regular season kicks off Sunday New Orleans against the Saints. The first home game is Sunday, September 16th against the Philadelphia Eagles.
