Mother Charged With First Degree Murder

Stinson has been arrested and charged in the death of her 2-year-old.Charisse Stinson, the mother of  two-year old Jordan Belliveau has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder. Police found the body of her son Tuesday around Lake Avenue and McMullen Road. Stinson had told police she accepted a ride and was struck in the head and when she woke up Jordan was gone. Largo PD has a press conference scheduled for later this morning.




Tropical Storm Gordon made landfall early this morning just to the west of the Alabama-Mississippi border. Top winds were measured at 70 mph so the storm never reached hurricane status. But one child did die in the storm when a tree feel on the family’s house. Now Gordon is moving inland and weakening. Another third pygmy killer whale has been found, this time on Longboat Key and is being cared for at Mote Marine Laboratory. All three pygmy whales are in critical condition at Mote. Scientists are trying to determine if the red tide is to blame.




Five of the iconic swans on Morton Lake in Lakeland have been struck by cars and died in recent weeks. Police in Lakeland are asking people to slow down and be more aware in the area. One has survived being struck. Residents will meet with city officials Thursday to ask for help keeping the swans safe that are also found in Mirror Lake




The Bucs regular season kicks off Sunday New Orleans against the Saints. The first home game is Sunday, September 16th against the Philadelphia Eagles.
