Publix Adding 700 Jobs

Southeastern grocery giant Publix set to open organic-focused GreenWise Atlanta market Publix will be adding 700 jobs over the next ten years to their corporate offices in Lakeland. Since the existing buildings are too small to accommodate that many new employees new office space is part of the expansion plans, with a completion date of 2020.

Lake Morton Drive has a lot of drivers circling the lake at the busiest time of the day and police think many of those are distracted drivers. They have an online survey to ask residents for their input and ideas to get people to slow down.
