Tracking Tropical Activity

Tropical Storm Michael is moving into the Gulf of Mexico. Landfall will be somewhere along the Florida Panhandle by Wednesday, possibly Thursday morning. Governor Scott has already declared a state of emergency for counties in the Panhandle and the Big Bend area. A company that the city of St Pete uses to process parking tickets, pay bill and more had a data breach affecting 28,000 customers. Click2Gov told the city they found malware on their server and anyone who used the third-party payer between Aug 11, 2018 and Sept 25, 2018 may have had their personal information compromised. The city of St Pete has additional information to help those affected here.

 

No Bucs football this past weekend. It’s the teams bye week with the next game in Atlanta on Sunday. Jameis Winston will start for the Bucs in Atlanta.

 

There are new laws in Florida. One of those is designed to help first responders who suffer from PTSD. Another will increase penalties against anyone found guilty of animal abuse. For a full list of the new laws that went into effect last Monday check here.
